Swing Into Spring (Formerly Girls on the Town)
(First Thursday night in May from 5-8pm): Participating DPBA members open their doors on this Friday night to enable area residents to celebrate spring, and walk around the downtown while exploring all the products and/or services they offer to the greater Palatine community. Passports are purchased to participate in the event, and in order for guests to qualify to win in-store raffles, passports must be stamped at each location. Stamped passports can be dropped off at the last location visited. Raffle tickets are also on sale for participants to qualify to win one of two large gift baskets filled with gift certificates from DPBA members.
Sidewalk Sales
(First Thursday through Saturday of June) DPBA members display items on sale or special outside their locations (or inside if the weather isn’t friendly)
Sweet Pea Pet Parade
(Last Sunday of August during Palatine Streetfest) Area pet owners are invited to participate in this parade that starts at Town Square and awards a number of honors to outstanding pet participants! There is no cost to enter, and the parade ends at the stage where award winners are announced.
Save it Forward September
The DPBA hosts the Pay it Forward campaign in September when shoppers can save their receipts and bring them to another participating DPBA member to get savings or special offers.
Holidays on the Town
(Friday night before Thanksgiving from 5-9pm): This event mirrors the Girls on the Town event, but does offer a Holiday Trolley and visits from Santa Claus as area community members ring in the holiday season!
Shop Small Saturday
On the Saturday after Thanksgiving, DPBA members open their doors to invite area residents to peek inside, and support/shop local – offering special offers and other deals!
