Holidays on the Town is Back!

We’re excited to be thinking about Holidays on the Town already.  We’ve got some great new ideas in store, so be sure to keep a watch out over the next couple of months for all of the cool things to come.  In the meantime, make sure to mark your calendars for November 21st & 22rd.  Downtown Palatine is the place to be!

Very Merry Shopping Event will be presented on Friday, November 21 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. Select merchants in the downtown area, see listing below, will be offering festive hors d’oeuvres, sweets and wine along with a Rudolph Raffle, passport prizes and special savings to start your holiday shopping season. Wine tasting will be provided by Cardinal Liquors of Palatine. The Passport to Prizes booklets can be purchased from any participating merchant for just $2. The passport will provide entry into prize drawings for each location visited during the event. Additional Rudolph Raffle tickets will be available for $1 each or 6 for $5.

On Saturday, November 22nd, the entire family is invited to attend Family Fun Dayin downtown Palatine from 10:00am to 5:00pm.  Children can pick up a free game card at participating merchants to play the Holiday Treasure Hunt Game, searching for pictures in stores throughout town to complete their game card. Holiday trolley rides will be available from 2-4pm noon with refreshments. Treasure Hunt prizes include a bike donated by Mikes Bike Shop, popcorn a year from Signature Sweets, kids hair cuts gift certificates from Arete Salon, Elf on the Shelf donated by Harrington Manor and more!! Family Fun Day will end with the Village of Palatine’s tree lighting ceremony at 5:00pm in Towne Square led by Mayor Jim Schwantz and Santa. Music at the tree lighting will be provided by the Palatine Children’s Chorus and Holiday Treasure Hunt prize winners will be announced as well.
