More than 100 people came out to a business spotlight event to honor and congratulate Bob Kramer, founder of Kramer Photographers, for his 40 years of business in Palatine. In addition to family and friends of the longtime business owner, Palatine Mayor Jim Schwantz was also in attendance and presented Kramer with a certificate of appreciation from the Village of Palatine.

“I’m just so honored,” Kramer said after the presentation.

Kramer Photographers is one of the longest standing businesses in Palatine.

Several individuals who attended spoke about the impact Kramer has had on them, either through his friendship or his business. He was referred to as a legend in his industry, in addition to mentions of his big sense of humor and upbeat personality – also as someone who has created a lifetime of memories through individual and family portraits for thousands of individuals and families over Kramer Photographer’s four decades in business.

He was additionally recognized for his support of Palatine community events over the years through event sponsorships, donated services to schools and charities, and other supportive community efforts.

Kramer was most recently honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award for his 40 years in business at the Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce’s ‘Keys to Success’ dinner in December of 2017.
